Vivino's First Singapore Store

Vivino, the world's largest online wine marketplace, has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Singapore, bringing its digital expertise to a physical retail space. Located in Raffles City Shopping Centre, this 2,000-square-foot flagship store offers over 100 highly-rated wines, innovative technology-driven recommendations, and a unique wine bar experience. Visitors can explore rare and limited-edition wines, receive personalized suggestions through interactive kiosks, and enjoy a rotating selection of wines by the glass paired with tapas at the open-concept Vivino Wine Bar.

Store Features and Wine Selection

The flagship store showcases over 100 wine labels, all rated 4 stars or above on Vivino's platform, with prices starting at an affordable $19.90 per bottle. Rare and limited-edition wines are available, including global best-sellers like Felix Solis Mucho Mas Tinto NV, Astrale Special Edition, and Hans Greyl Sauvignon Blanc, making their debut in Singapore. The 2,000-square-foot space features an open layout designed to enhance the wine-buying experience, with visual data displays offering guidance on wine styles for various occasions.

Vivino Wine Bar Offerings

The open-concept Vivino Wine Bar offers a rotating selection of wines by the glass starting at $8, complemented by tapas from $12. This setup allows customers to sample various wines before purchasing, enhancing their exploration of different wine pairings. While specific tapas dishes are not detailed, they are designed to complement the wine-tasting experience. The bar's offerings are regularly updated, providing patrons with new tasting experiences on each visit.

Community Engagement Activities

Year-round activities, including wine tastings and workshops, are planned to engage Vivino's local user base of approximately 250,000 app users in Singapore. A special preview event was held for these users before the official opening, emphasizing Vivino's commitment to fostering a community around wine appreciation. The store aims to serve as a hub for wine enthusiasts to connect, offering a unique blend of digital innovation and in-person experiences to disrupt traditional wine retailing.

Technology and Personalized Recommendations

Interactive "Vivino Recommends" kiosks leverage crowd-sourced data from over 100 million user ratings and reviews to provide personalized wine suggestions. Customers can take quizzes to determine their taste preferences, receiving tailored recommendations that match their palate. This technology-driven approach empowers both novice and seasoned wine enthusiasts to discover new favorites, enhancing the overall wine-buying experience by offering guidance beyond traditional categorization methods.
